VIA Podcast: På vej mod at blive socialrådgiver

(VIA University College Podcast: On the Road to Becoming a Social Service Worker)

In 2023 VIA University College hired me to design the front cover illustration of their new podcast for students studying to become social service workers.

They wanted their four prime courses to be featured in the design; 1) social science, 2) social work, 3) law, and 4) psychology, in order for the basic themes of the education to be visible.

From here we discussed what makes a good social service worker, and some of the most significant keywords were: care, safety, helpfulness, and diversity.

I began the illustration process by making three loose sketches, where two of them focused on the essence of being a social service worker, and the last one had more focus on the students of the education.

VIA chose the sketch with the students in focus, and furthermore they wanted it to represent the diversity of their students as well, in respects to gender, age, ethnicity, etc.
